Chuck Wagon Carrots
Chuck Wagon Carrots is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. carrots, sliced 1/4-inch thick, 3 tbsp. butter, 1/4 c. bacon, cooked and crumbled, 2 tbsp. thinly sliced green onion and 1 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan and add carrots.
Cover and cook over medium heat until carrots are tender-crisp, about 10 to 12 minutes.
Drain and set aside.
In same saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in carrots and remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 to 7 minutes.
