Christmas Rainbow Cake
Christmas Rainbow Cake is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 52 minutes. Made with . white cake mix, (3 oz.) pkg. raspberry jello, (3 oz.) lime jello and (9 oz.) cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
Bake in 2 well-greased and floured 9-inch layer pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool in pans for 15 minutes.
Poke with fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
Do not remove from pans.
Dissolve each package of jello separately in 1 cup of boiling water.
Pour raspberry jello over one layer of cake and pour the lime jello over the other.
Chill for 4 hours.
Unmold one layer onto serving plate and top with 1 cup Cool Whip.
Unmold second layer onto first.
Frost top and sides with remaining Cool Whip.
Chill. Garnish with gumdrops flattened and cut to resemble holly.
