Christmas Popcorn Snowball
Christmas Popcorn Snowball is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 c. popped popcorn (3/4 c. unpopped), 1/2 lb. candied cherries, halved, 1 (16 oz.) bottle light corn syrup (2 c.), 1 tbsp. white vinegar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In greased large kettle, toss popped popcorn with cherries until well mixed.
In medium saucepan over medium-high, heat corn syrup, vinegar and salt until the mixture boils, stirring occasionally.
Set candy thermometer in place and continue cooking without stirring until temperature reaches 250Β° or until a small amount dropped into very cold water forms a hard ball.
Remove syrup from heat; stir in vanilla.
Slowly pour syrup on the popcorn balls.
Makes 12 balls.
