Christmas Fruit Bars
Christmas Fruit Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. broken pecans, 1 1/2 sticks oleo, 2 c. brown sugar, 3 eggs and 1 1/2 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Sprinkle pecans over greased and floured 10 x 5 x 1-inch pan. Cream oleo and add sugar.
Continue creaming.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Continue beating.
Then add flour and vanilla; mix well. Press batter down over nuts (wetting your hands helps).
Spread dates, then cherries and pineapple over batter.
Wet hands and press down.
Bake at 275° to 300° for 50 to 60 minutes.
Yields about 60 bars.
