Christmas Cookies
Christmas Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. cloves, 1 tsp. allspice and 1/2 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Sift 2 1/2 cups flour with cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar; add slightly beaten eggs.
Add flour and liquid alternately.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to mixture.
Add whiskey.
Cut up candied fruits and add nuts.
Sift 1/2 cup of flour over fruits and nuts (keeps from sticking together).
Fold in mixture.
Drop by teaspoonful on greased and floured cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated 250Β° oven for 25 minutes. Yield
6 dozen.
May be frozen.
