Chow Mein
Chow Mein is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. celery strips, 1 large onion, cut into small wedges, 1 c. pepper strips, 1 clove garlic and 2 tbsp. oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Saute first four ingredients in oil.
Remove from the saute pan.
Then brown the ground beef with 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Drain off any fat.
Combine cornstarch with water.
Mix with soy sauce.
Add to meat and vegetables.
Cook and stir until thickened. Move mixture to the side of the pan.
Add boiling water and instant rice; add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Cover and remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork; then serve.
