Chocolate Torte
Chocolate Torte is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix, 6 oz. chocolate chips, 1/2 c. margarine, 1/2 c. almonds, chopped and 1 (8 oz.) container cool whip, thawed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix cake as directed.
Bake in two 9-inch layer pans.
Cool. Split layers horizontally.
Melt the chips in saucepan over very low heat. Cool, then beat in margarine.
Add almonds. Spread one cake layer with 1/2 chocolate mixture. Top with second layer of cake and spread with 1/2 Cool Whip. Repeat layers. Garnish with shaved chocolate curls and almonds.
Chill 1 hour.
