Chocolate Topped Oatmeal Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. pillsbury coconut almond or coconut pecan frosting mix, 3 c. rolled oats, 1 c. shortening or margarine, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 c. Preheat oven to 350Β°. Blend first 4 ingredients until crumbly.
Press mixture into ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes until light golden brown.
In saucepan, combine chocolate pieces and peanut butter.
Cook over low heat stirring constantly until chocolate pieces are melted.
Spread over bars.
Chill; cut into bars.
Store in refrigerator.
