Chocolate Sheet Cake
Chocolate Sheet Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2 c. self-rising flour, 1 stick butter, 1/2 c. salad oil and 4 tbsp. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Sift sugar and flour in large bowl.
Put butter, oil and cocoa in pot and bring to boil.
Pour over dry mixture and beat well. Mix together buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla.
Pour into first mixture and turn into greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 pan. Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
Start preparing icing 5 minutes before cake is done.
Put rest of ingredients, except 3x sugar, into pan and bring to boil.
Pour over sugar and beat well.
Pour over cake while hot. Cut in squares to serve.
