Chocolate Scotcharoos
Chocolate Scotcharoos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. karo, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. peanut butter, 6 c. rice crispy cereal and 1 c. semisweet chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Place syrup and sugar in large pan.
Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture begins to boil.
Remove from heat.
Stir in peanut butter; mix well.
Add Rice Crispy Cereal, stir until well mixed.
Press mixture into greased 13 X 9 X 2 pan.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in small saucepan over low heat stirring constantly.
Spread over Rice Crispy mixture.
Let stand till firm.
