Stir German sweet chocolate in 1/4 cup water over low heat until melted and cool.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, creaming well.
Add chocolate, flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix well.
Pour in tube pan and bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Let cool and remove from pan.
