Chocolate Popcorn
Chocolate Popcorn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. sugar, 1 1/4 c. half and half, 3 (1 oz.) sq. chocolate, large dash of salt and 1 scant c. white syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix first 5 ingredients in large saucepan; stir continually while cooking.
Cook to 245Β° or hard ball stage when tested in water.
Take from heat and add butter and vanilla.
Pour slowly over a dishpan full of popped corn plus lots of nutmeats.
Be very careful while stirring as this is very hot chocolate and could burn.
Spread out on several buttered cookie sheets and let cool.
