Bake pie crust at 425Β° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Sprinkle bottom of hot pie crust with chocolate chips. When they melt, spread around to coat evenly.
Meanwhile, whip cream cheese until fluffy.
Add vanilla at this time, if desired.
Spread over chocolate layer in pie crust.
Mix together the pudding and cold milk.
Whip until smooth and thick; set aside 5 minutes.
Blend in the whipped cream, mixing well.
