Chocolate Picnic Cake
Chocolate Picnic Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. water, 1 c. dry oatmeal (not instant), 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. white sugar and 1 tbsp. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand 10 minutes.
Add sugars and margarine and stir until margarine melts.
Add eggs and mix.
Add dry ingredients and mix.
Add 1/2 package of chocolate chips.
Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle nuts and the rest of the chocolate chips on top.
Bake in preheated 350Β° oven for about 40 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool and cut into squares.
