Chocolate Picnic Cake
Chocolate Picnic Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. shortening, 4 tbsp. cocoa, 1 c. water and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Combine margarine, shortening, cocoa and water in small saucepan.
Rapid boil and pour over flour, sugar and salt have been sifted into a large bowl.
Mix well and add buttermilk to which soda has been added.
Blend well; add slightly beaten eggs and vanilla.
Mix well and pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Minutes before cake is done, start to make frosting.
