Chocolate-Oatmeal Cookies
Chocolate-Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 2 tbsp. water and 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in egg.
Blend in chocolate, flavorings and 2 tablespoons water.
Mix flour, soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stir into creamed mixture.
Stir in oats and nuts. Form into 1-inch balls.
Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with sugared bottom of tumbler.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
