Mix flour, baking soda and salt.
Cream butter, gradually adding sugars and beating until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Blend in vanilla, egg and sour cream.
Gradually add flour mixture, beating until smooth.
Stir in chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375Β°.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
