Chocolate Icing
Chocolate Icing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. cold water, 1 stick margarine, 2 egg whites, beaten stiff and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Cook sugar, Karo and water with margarine until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
Pour slowly over beaten egg whites.
Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
Beat until thick enough to spread.
