Chocolate Drop Cookies
Chocolate Drop Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 egg, 1/3 c. buttermilk, 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour and 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, egg, chocolate, buttermilk and vanilla.
Stir in flour, soda, salt and nuts.
Cover and chill 1 hour.
Heat oven to 400Β°.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched with finger. Immediately remove from baking sheet and cool.
Frost with chocolate icing.
Makes 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
