Cream butter, peanut butter and both kinds of sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture to make dough.
Preheat oven to 375Β°. Shape into 1-inch balls and place in ungreased small muffin to 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and press peanut butter cup into center of each cookie until the top the peanut butter cup shows.
Remove from pans when cooled.
