Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening (like crisco), 1 c. margarine or butter, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. brown sugar and 3 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Mix thoroughly the shortening, margarine, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
Mix in flour, soda and salt.
Add chocolate chips and nuts if you want and mix in slowly or stir in. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes (depending on the size of cookie).
I like to make big cookies so it takes about 15 minutes or bake until light brown.
Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
Makes about 6 dozen "big size" cookies.
