Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake
Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. cocoa, 1 1/2 tsp. soda and 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix well flour, sugar, soda, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves and salt.
Add shortening, applesauce, eggs, 1/2 cup nuts, 1/2 cup chocolate chips and raisins.
Beat until smooth; pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle on top brown sugar, nuts and chocolate chips.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
