Chocolate Cherry Upside-Down Cake
Chocolate Cherry Upside-Down Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can cherry pie filling, 2 1/4 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa and 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Spread pie filling over bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt. In another bowl, combine water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
Add liquid ingredients to flour mixture all at once.
Stir well to moisten.
Pour batter over cherry pie filling.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
Cool 10 minutes, then invert and cool completely.
Top with whipped cream.
Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
