Chocolate Caramel Bars
Chocolate Caramel Bars is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with german chocolate cake mix, c. melted oleo, c. evaporated milk, large pkg. chocolate chips and c. blanched peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Beat together cake mix, melted oleo and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
Stir peanuts into mixture and press 1/2 of it in a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350° for 5 minutes.
Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler.
After cake comes out of oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and pour caramel mix on top.
Crumble remaining 1/2 cake mix on top.
Bake 15 minutes at 350°.
