Chocolate Caramel Bars
Chocolate Caramel Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 sticks margarine, 2 c. quick oats, 1 tsp. soda, 64 caramels and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Blend all ingredients, except caramels and chocolate chips, until crumbly.
Put 2/3 of mixture in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, greased.
Bake 15 minutes at 350Β°.
Remove from oven and pour chocolate chips over.
Set aside.
Melt the 64 caramels and 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of milk until creamy.
Pour over the chocolate chips.
Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top.
Bake 15 minutes or until the top is lightly browned.
Cool completely before cutting.
