Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. sugar, 3 c. sifted swans down, 3 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter, gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
Beat 1 minute on electric mixer or longer by hand.
Sift baking powder, flour and salt.
Add eggs, one at a time to creamed mixture beating well after each addition.
Add flour mixture alternating with milk and flavoring, beating after each addition until smooth.
Bake at 350Β° about 35 to 40 minutes.
Frost with favorite can frosting.
