Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour, 1 3/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift together flour, sugar, soda and salt.
Add shortening, vanilla and 1 cup sour milk.
Beat 2 minutes with mixer, or 150 strokes.
Add melted chocolate, eggs and 1/2 cup sour milk.
Beat 2 minutes.
Pour into two 8 or 9-inch layer pans.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes.
