Chocolate Bread 'n Butter Pudding
Chocolate Bread 'N Butter Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 5 c. small cubes day old bread, 1/2 c. butter, melted, 4 oz. semi or bitter-sweet chocolate, grated, 5 eggs and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Place bread cubes in a shallow, 2-quart baking dish (12 x 3 x 2 1/2-inch high oven dish works well).
Pour butter over bread and toss to mix well.
Gently stir in chocolate.
Heat eggs with sugar, vanilla and salt, then beat in warmed cream and milk.
Pour custard over bread crumbs.
Place baking dish in a larger pan.
Add hot water to come halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
Bake in 375Β° oven until custard is set, about 45 minutes.
