Chinese Chews
Chinese Chews is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 c. chopped dates, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift dry ingredients.
Stir in dates, walnuts and eggs.
Pour into greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in moderate oven (350Β°) about 15 minutes.
While warm, cut into bars.
Cool, remove from pan and roll in sifted confectioners sugar.
Makes 3 dozen.
