Sift together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs, dates, nuts, vanilla and flour mixture.
Place batter in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes. While hot, cut in small squares, then roll into balls.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Makes 4 dozen delicious cookies.
