Chili Con Carne
Chili Con Carne is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 slices bacon, 1 medium onion, sliced, 1 lb. ground beef, 2 cans kidney beans and 2 1/2 cans tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Broil bacon until done.
Remove bacon and saute onion in the dripping until tender (7 to 10 minutes).
Add meat and cook and stir until gray in color.
Chop bacon and return to mixture.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer until flavors are well blended (about 20 minutes).
Serve hot.
If desired, serve meat mixture over hot cooked rice.
