Chili
Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 2 medium onions, diced, 2 garlic cloves, minced, 1 medium green pepper, diced and 3 tbsp. chili powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cook ground beef, onions, garlic and green pepper in a 4-quart saucepan over high heat until beef is browned, about 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add chili powder; cook 1 minute.
Stir in tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, brown sugar, oregano and paprika.
Heat to boiling, stirring to break up tomatoes.
Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in kidney beans with their liquid; heat thoroughly.
