Chili
Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. ground beef or turkey, 6 cans chili hot beans, 1 can v-8 juice, 1 large onion chopped and 2 tbsp. chili powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook ground beef or turkey in skillet seasoned with seasoned salt Drain off any fat.
Put remaining ingredients with meat in a large pot and simmer for about 2 hours.
Best served 2nd day after spices have had a chance to soak in beans and meat.
Can be thickened with flour, if desired.
Add hot sauce to taste, if desired. 1 pound of dried pinto beans can be substituted but they must be thick with very little juice.
Also you must increase the chili powder and cumin to 3 Tbsp. each.
