Chicken in a Sack
Chicken In A Sack is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 56 minutes. Made with clean, medium brown paper bags, salad oil, (3 lb.) broiler fryers and approximately 1/2 c. barbecue sauce or 1/4 cup chili sauce and 1/4 barbecue sauce, mixed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. About 2 hours ahead, heat oven to 375Β°.
Rub paper bags, inside and outside, with oil.
Place a chicken inside each bag after covering the chicken with sauce and pouring some inside the cavity of each chicken.
Place the bags side by side in roasting pan or broiler pan.
Close ends of paper bags with wooden clothespin.
Cover roaster/broiler pan with lid or aluminum foil. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
