Chicken Creole
Chicken Creole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 c. vegetable oil, 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1 green pepper, chopped, 1 medium onion, chopped and 2 c. chopped cooked chicken, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat vegetable oil in a heavy skillet until hot.
Stir in 1/4 cup flour.
Stir constantly until mixture is about the color of a copper penny, about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat.
Add pepper and onion; cook until tender (about 10 minutes), stirring constantly. Add chicken, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, garlic, soy sauce, sugar, pepper, salt and hot sauce.
Cover and simmer about 20 minutes.
Serve over rice.
