Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mix cake mix, 1 egg and oil until crumbly.
Press in bottom of pan.
Bake for 20 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, beat remaining eggs, syrup, sugar and butter until blended.
Stir in pecans.
Pour nut mixture over cake mix mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes or until set. Cool completely; cut into squares.
