Chewy Nut Squares
Chewy Nut Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. flour, 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 c. margarine, 2 eggs, slightly beaten and 1/4 c. dark karo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix 1 cup flour and 1/4 cup sugar.
Cut in margarine until fine crumbs form.
Pack into 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Mix flour, sugar and remaining ingredients.
Pour over crust.
Bake 30 minutes until top sets. Cool at least 1 hour.
Cut into 16 squares.
