In mixing bowl with electric mix, beat brown sugar and butter until fluffy.
Stir in baking mix and pecans until mixture is crumbly.
Measure 1 cup brown sugar mixture and set aside for topping.
Press remaining brown sugar mixture into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan, covering entire bottom.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 minutes.
