Chewy Cake
Chewy Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. cake mix (lemon or chocolate), 1 stick butter or margarine, 3 eggs, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese and 1 box powdered sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Melt the butter in an 11 x 13-inch pan.
Mix 1 egg and cake mix in a bowl (this is a very dry mixture).
Sprinkle this over the melted butter in the 11 x 13-inch pan.
Mix cream cheese, 2 eggs and powdered sugar until smooth. Pour this mixture on top of the cake mixture.
Spread it to completely cover the cake mixture. Bake at 350Β° for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Allow to cool at least 20 minutes.
Makes 18 to 24 squares.
