Preheat oven to 350Β°.

Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat; remove pan from heat.

Stir in remaining ingredients, except confectioners sugar, in order listed; mix well after each addition.

Spread batter in prepared pan.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan.

Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes.

Sift confectioners sugar over top.

Cool completely and cut into squares.

Makes 12 to 15 servings.
