Cherry Winks
Cherry Winks is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt and 3/4 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Blend dry ingredients; set aside.
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, then milk and vanilla; mix well.
Add pecans, dates and 1/3 cup chopped cherries.
Blend in dry ingredients, mixing well. Roll approximately 1 teaspoon dough into ball and coat with corn flakes by rolling.
Bake on greased cookie sheet, after topping each cookie with 1/4 cherry at 375Β° for 15 minutes.
