Cherry Salad
Cherry Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 - 3 oz. pkg. cherry jello, 2 cups hot water, 1 can cherry pie filling, 1/2 cup chopped pecans and 1 #2 can crushed pineapples, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Let set 5 minutes.
Add cherry pie filling and pineapples.
Pour 1/2 of mixture into a 9 x 13 glass dish and let it congeal.
Cream the cheese (add a little milk if necessary to make smooth) spread over the congealed mixture.
Sprinkle nuts over the cheese.
Add other 1/2 of gelatin mixture and chill.
Let set overnight.
