Cherry Pound Cake
Cherry Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks margarine, 1/2 c. shortening, 3 c. sugar, 6 large eggs and 3/4 c. milk and cherry juice (to make 1 c.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream margarine, shortening and sugar until light.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix together milk and cherry juice.
Measure sifted flour and add to first mixture alternately with cherry-milk mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Stir in half of the cherries. Reserve the rest of cherries for icing.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
