Cherry Loaf
Cherry Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) jar red maraschino cherries, 2 1/2 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 4 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Drain red cherries (save liquid, add water if needed to equal 1/3 cup).
Cut up cherries.
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In separate bowl beat eggs, add milk, oil, applesauce and cherry liquid.
Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
Fold in red and green cherries, pecans and orange peel.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until tests done.
