Cherry Bars
Cherry Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1-3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup margarine, 4 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2-1/2 to 3 cups flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Beat sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla together for 2 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
Reserve 1-1/2 cups of batter.
Spread remaining batter into a greased and floured jelly roll pan.
Spread cherries on top.
Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls over the top of cherries.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
