Cheese Straws
Cheese Straws is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. extra sharp cheddar cheese (cracker barrel is best, it grates well), 1 stick soft butter, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. red pepper and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix all ingredients into dough that is soft and pliable.
Run through #1 disc of cookie press into long strips on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 325Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cut into 2-inch pieces while still warm, but let cool in pan.
Sprinkle lightly with paprika.
Store in airtight plastic bag or cookie tin.
Makes 6 dozen.
Don't let them get brown or they'll be too done!
