Cheese Straws
Cheese Straws is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. sharp cheese, grated, 1 stick butter, 1 egg, 1 tbsp. cold water and 1 3/4 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream the butter and cheese until soft. Add egg and water. Beat well. Sift flour, salt, cayenne and paprika together.
Add in additions, beating well after each addition.
Chill dough 10 minutes.
Pack into Wearever cooking gun (sawtooth, spritz cookie discs).
Make long strips lengthwise on ungreased Wearever cookie sheet.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes in moderate oven at 350Β°.
Cut into 3-inch strips.
Yields 8 dozen 3-inch straws when dial is set on thick.
