Cheese Rice Casserole
Cheese Rice Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. coarsely chopped onion, 1 1/2 c. sliced celery, 1 c. uncooked rice, 1/4 c. margarine and 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Saute onion, celery and rice in margarine until rice is slightly brown, stirring occasionally.
Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
Bring to a boil.
Arrange layers of the rice mixture with the shredded cheese in a 2-quart casserole.
