Cheese Corn Bread
Cheese Corn Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 400°.
Coat inside of a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan with nonstick vegetable oil cooking spray.
Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Stir in cornmeal and cheese. Beat egg slightly in a small bowl. Stir in milk, oil and corn. Add to dry ingredients.
Stir just until blended.
Pour batter into pan. Bake in preheated 400° oven for 20 minutes until top is golden brown and springs back when gently pressed with a finger.
Cool on wire rack. Cut into squares to serve.
