Cheese Biscuits
Cheese Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 1/3 c. shortening, 1/2 c. (2-oz.) shredded cheddar cheese and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine flour and shortening in a medium bowl, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Stir in cheese and milk.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly 3-4 times.
Roll to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into rounds with biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Yield: one dozen.
